i feel like i've been so busy this past week!
working outside, batch cooking, homeschooling, cleaning, playing pickleball, and just the usual stuff has left me no time to blog!
i even lucky enough to sneek away to anthropology with my mother in law and we wandered around looking at all the beautiful things they have scattered throughout the store. if i had a couple hundred thousand i think i could have come home with everything i wanted! ;-) after that, we met the other girls in the family and ate at the cheesecake factory and saw midnight in paris!
getting out with the girls was fun!
oh, and batch cooking? i made 42 meals this week. i paid $4.37/meal, $183.00 total!
cooking really isn't my favorite thing, and if i have some yummy meals in the freezer, i can just throw some veggies together and that's dinnner! we did some interesting recipes this time along with the tried and true.
i made a coconut lime chicken and it was really good! i've got pictures to share along with the recipe so stay tuned for that!
does anyone else out there do batch cooking or mega cooking?
two other friends and i get together every couple of months and swap meals. it's fun, and i've made some things i never would have tried otherwise. we've made meals together and cooked all day and we've made all the meals on our own too, just getting together to swap. both ways are fun in their own way, but with little kids it's easier to make meals on our own!
i might share some of the meals we've made. mega cooking doesn't always have a good reputation. some people think all you can make is casseroles or that we're using 55 cans of cream of chicken!
well, it just ain't so i tell you! just wait, you'll see!
we'll see how many of you i can get on the batch cooking bandwagon!
{and as always, i feel pictures are a necessary part of blogging, and these are some of my favorite flowers out in the yard right now. i don't know the name of the purple ones, but aren't they interesting? i just adore them!}

Oh, can't wait to hear more about it! I've heard of it, but never done it. Do share some recipes!
Also, will you garden for me too? ;-)
