this past saturday, my husband and i took two of our kids to an airfield about an hour away so they could ride in some single engine planes! it was a free event put on by one of the local eagle scout troops.
the kids got a mini lesson on planes and heard some rather scary stories tips on airplane safety.
after that we waited a looong time for their flights!! and we were all under dressed for the weather. the sun was a-shining, but it was cold! my thin target cardi wasn't quite warm enough.
{it is supposed to be summer, right?}
i was a *little* worried, wondering if they might get nervous during takeoff, but they did great and were all smiles when they landed!
looks like they had fun!
