a frivolous friday post

it's friday, and i've got gobs to do before we leave for our homeschool co-op.  but, after a couple of lame-o seasons of american idol there are 2 of the most amazing singers ever!!! 

are you watching? because if you're not watching, you should.

these two kids are so super talented.  i love love them.  it wouldn't surprise me if they both end up in the finals.  it's been a while since i even cared who was on idol.  we didn't even watch last season but these two are so good, i can't imagine missing an episode.  besides, colton dixon is a christian and he even sang a worship song this week.  gotta love that!

i've been busy busy busy around here.  i repainted my bedroom,  listed my current furniture on craigslist and i'm hoping someone will want to take it this weekend.  i've got this great plan in my head and i'm itching to get it done.  i just need someone to come take the stuff i've got before i can do anything more!!!   

i also painted the risers to my stairs.  some of the stairs need a double coat and then i'll show you.  they look so beautifully country now!

i've started my first baby quilt.  it's a little bit of a cheater quilt, but it's going to look so good!

i'm also finishing up curtains for my friend.  i'm just adding some ruffles to her existing ruffled curtains.  they needed a little extra fluff, and i'm almost done.  even though they aren't mine, i don't really want to give them back to her....

oh, and if i didn't already feel super productive, i also have worked out  sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday and thurday!!!  when i weighed myself this morning, i was down 2 pounds.  and that was after my morning latte!!!
